Far-Ko Contracting is a diversified construction company with a customer base including the Canadian National Railroad, the B.C. Forest Service, B.C. Hydro, Pacific Northern Gas, City of Terrace, Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine, City of Prince Rupert, Ministry of Transportation, Ledcor, as well as many Private groups.

Far-Ko Contracting offers a wide variety of services including road construction, excavation, site preparation, railway maintenance, civil underground works, drilling and blasting, brush cutting, site grading and full environmental remediation services. As well, we own and operate a licensed gravel pit and rock quarry in the Terrace area from which we make and provide a wide array of aggregate and rock products.

We also manufacture and maintain specialty railway equipment such as our Far-Ko High rail carts, tie heads, and our Far-Ko High rail system. These units are designed and built locally and are proven performers with the CNR. We have recently added a High rail crew cab and certified flagman to our equipment roster. We operate 3 High rail excavators in the Pacific Northwest. The High rail units are operated by our CNR rules qualified High rail excavator operators.
